rain, but not storms (at least when I'm apart from my dad)
laughter from a distance
birds. any birds. okay maybe not mockingbirds
keyboards clacking
a glass filling up with liquid
coffee brewing
a ceiling fan--especially during a late summer night
a classy lady's high heels on a tile floor
being with those I love and their noises
keys jingling before the opening of a door
pages being turned
right before a song plays
ringing my grandparents' doorbell
plants growing and my mother talking to them
white noise
silence
